Step-by-step Instructions

Prepare the Resin Mixtures

In order to make this artwork, you first need to start by adding fine-crushed peach glitter in a cup of resin mixture. Add fine-crushed aquamarine glitter in another cup. Use glitter spoons to control the quantity that you add each time or else you might make the mixture too thick if you add a lot of glitter. This will also prevent a beautiful sheen in your project.

Blend both the mixtures well with a mixing stick to distribute the glitter evenly across the resin mixture. This project requires multiple layers so make sure that you have prepared enough resin mixture. However, you also have to be careful about flash curing. Flash curing happens when you make huge batches of resin. If you are mixing a lot of resin, and then you leave it for 10 to 15 minutes, it can reach up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and release chemicals that are harmful for your health. So, keep this in mind.

Fill the Molds with Resin and Adornments

Take the glitter-tinted resin mixtures and pour first layer in the two parts of the mold. For one part of the mold, use the aquamarine resin mixture and for the other, use the peach resin mixture.

Now, take your precision tweezers and start placing dried rose buds, petals, and leaves in the mold. Set the rose buds diagonally in both the parts of the mold so that the buds are facing each other.

Afterward, you can place dried petals and leaves around the buds and carefully dip them in the resin to set them in place.

Pour some royal blue sugar crystals in the bottom of the two parts of the mold to give your project a glorious look. Use a mixing spoon to pour only that amount which you feel is best.

Cover these elements with a second layer of glitter-tinted resin mixture.

For the second resin layer, add two more dried rose buds in each part of the mold, facing opposite to the first two rose buds.

Add one to two faux pearls in the second layer as well. While you are working with resin, make sure that you use gloves to avoid hurting your hands.

Add some periwinkle blue sugar crystals over the royal blue ones to add a light contrast.

Over the crystals, put two more rose buds without stems and pour the third resin layer over them to seal them in place.

Leave your molds to cure for about three to six hours so that they can achieve a gel-like consistency and then place your quote stickers in gold on it. The gel-like consistency creates a strong bond between different layers of resin so, don’t forget this part.

Add the fourth layer of resin over the quote stickers and pour some clear sugar crystals in the bottom corner of the two parts of the mold for added beauty.

Now, add the fifth and final layer to seal everything in place. Leave your molds to dry overnight.

Demold and Set

Once your molds have fully cured after about twenty-four hours, you can carefully demold them.

Candles tend to be a thoughtful present that not only lift your mood but when they come with beautiful candle holders, they can enhance the aesthetics of your place as well. So, gift your loved ones a candle holder made out of resin by getting its supplies now.
